The Work Continues
Initiated by the California State Legislature’s passage of AB127 in the 2023-2024 session, this multi-year initiative continues to gain steam throughout a three-phased approach:
- Phase 1 – Creative Economy Workgroup, Strategic Plan Framework (2024-2025)
- Phase 2 – Community Engagement, Implementation Planning (2025-2026)
- Phase 3 – Implementation, Evaluation (2026-)
Up Next:
A 2025-2026 Statewide Engagement Tour will drive implementation through deep community engagement, compelling storytelling, and a series of public events.
This initiative will directly inform the development of a plan addendum, which will be submitted to the Governor’s Office and State Legislature in early 2026.
